Will there ever be a paid plan?
Enzyme is MIT licensed open-source software. The code is free and always will be. If we offer paid services in the future, they would be things like managed hosting — the self-hosted version will remain free.
What does self-hosting cost?
Just the cost of a server. Enzyme runs on a single $5/month VPS. There are no license fees, no per-seat charges, and no feature gates.
Is Enzyme Cloud suitable for production use?
Enzyme Cloud is great for small teams. For larger teams or stricter data requirements, we recommend self-hosting so you have full control over your data, backups, and uptime.
Are there any feature differences?
No. Enzyme Cloud runs the exact same code as the self-hosted version. Every feature is available everywhere. Cloud workspaces have a 100 MB file storage limit.
